The Election of 1912
There were three main candidates for the election of 1912. Those three being Theodore Roosevelt, William Howard Taft , and Woodrow Wilson. The Republicans, Roosevelt and Taft both Progressives caused the party to split almost guaranteeing a democrat to be elected president. Wilson, The democrat was born in the south, had a PhD in history, was president of Princeton University and a Progressive Governor of NJ. Since the republican party split, some of the supporters formed a party called the Progressives aka Bullmooses.

Seeing as though the Republican Party Split, this left Woodrow Wilson apt for the easy win as President of the US.
